Greater Noida, Feb 2: England kept their cool under pressure to clinch a tense five-wicket win over India in the third Mixed Disability T20I at the Shahid Vijay Pathik Stadium, moving ahead 2–1 in the five-match series.

After being asked to bat, India posted a competitive 147 for 7 from their allotted 20 overs, thanks largely to a superb unbeaten knock from Majid. Holding the innings together after early setbacks, Majid struck 76 not out from 54 balls, combining patience with power as he hit three fours and five sixes to anchor the Indian effort.

Runs from the other end were harder to come by. Yogendra Bhadoria chipped in with 16, while Akash Singh (10) and Ravindra Sante (11) offered brief support. England’s bowling unit stayed disciplined throughout, led by Jordan Williams, whose timely breakthroughs ensured India never fully accelerated at the death.

Chasing 148, England adopted a smart, calculated approach. Wicketkeeper-batter Angus Garant Brown launched the reply in spectacular fashion, smashing 61 off just 28 balls. His explosive innings, studded with five fours and six sixes, gave England early momentum and put the Indian bowlers on the back foot.

Josh Price then steadied the chase with a composed 29 in the middle overs before Henry John delivered the finishing punch, remaining unbeaten on 30 from 17 balls. Captain Callum Flynn played the role of calm guide, staying not out on 20 as England crossed the target with one ball remaining.

India’s bowlers fought back admirably, with Ravindra Sante and Vivek Kumar picking up important wickets, but England’s batting depth and composure in key moments ultimately made the difference.

With this victory, England take a 2–1 lead in the series. The action now shifts to Jaipur for the final two matches, where India will be eager to bounce back and push the contest to a decider.
