Udupi’s Jaya Tantri shines at National Masters Games in Nashik

Udupi, Feb 4: Jaya Tantri K, a resident of Korangrapadi in Udupi and a retired degree teacher, has brought laurels to the district by delivering an outstanding performance at the National Masters Games held in Nashik, Maharashtra.

The national-level sports meet was organized by the Masters Games Association Maharashtra from January 28 to 31. Competing in the 65+ age category, Jaya Tantri showcased exceptional talent and determination across multiple events.

Jaya Tantri clinched gold medals in shot put, table tennis, and relay races. In addition, she secured a silver medal in the hammer throw and a bronze medal in the mixed relay event.

Her remarkable achievements have earned widespread appreciation from sports enthusiasts and local residents.
