Mangaluru: Ullal police nab absconding accused in ganja case after 14 years

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Feb 5: Ullal police have arrested an accused who had been absconding for the past 14 years after failing to appear before the court in connection with a ganja-related case.

The arrested individual has been identified as Mohammed Sansheer, a resident of Mukacheri. Police said he had remained in hiding since the case was registered and had repeatedly evaded legal proceedings.

Owing to his prolonged absence, the court had issued a long-pending proclamation (LPC) warrant against the accused.

Acting on the warrant, the police traced and apprehended him and produced him before the court on Wednesday.

Further legal proceedings are underway.
