New Delhi, Feb 8: The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has invited suggestions from stakeholders on the proposed Income-tax Rules and Forms under the Income Tax Act, 2025.

The Income Tax Act, which received the President’s assent in August last year, is scheduled to come into force from April 1 this year. Ahead of the final notification, the Ministry of Finance said the draft Income Tax Rules and Forms have been uploaded on the official website, incometaxindia.gov.in.

The CBDT has sought inputs on simplifying language, reducing litigation, lowering compliance burden, and identifying redundant or obsolete rules and forms. Stakeholders have been encouraged to share their feedback to help streamline the new tax framework.
