Mangaluru, Feb 9: Dharma Jyothi Social Centre, Vamanjoor, in collaboration with the School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore, jointly organized a free eye check-up camp. The camp was held on the premises of Vidya Jyothi English Medium School, Vamanjoor on February 8.
Doctors from Prasad Netralaya Super Specialty Eye Hospital, Mangaluru, conducted the check-ups. The inaugural ceremony was presided over by the headmistress of Vidya Jyothi English Medium School, Sr Ida SRA, and the director of Dharma Jyothi Social Centre, Sr Veera Monis SRA, in the presence of Dr Shilpa.
The hospital’s PRO, Sayyed, informed that during the camp, free spectacles will be provided to those in need, and retina surgeries and treatments were offered at discounted rates.
A total of 288 local residents benefited from the free eye check-up camp. The programme was compered by Renita, and Sunitha welcomed the gathering.
