Bantwal, Feb 11: In a shocking incident at a private college under Vittal police jurisdiction on February 11, a 19-year-old student, Hemant, allegedly stabbed a minor classmate with a pen-knife during an argument that escalated into a fight.

The injured student was admitted to the hospital and is reported to be out of danger. Hemant has been taken into police custody. Another minor student, who tried to intervene in the fight, sustained minor injuries.

Vittal police have registered a case under FIR No. 32/2026, sections 115(1), 352, 109, and 118(1) BNS, and further legal proceedings are underway.
