Mangaluru, Feb 12: The feast of Lady of Lourdes programme was reverently celebrated at Lourdes Central School (LCS) on February 11 to honour Our Lady of Lourdes and to reflect on her values of humility, compassion, faith and service. The celebration aimed to deepen spiritual awareness, foster unity and inspire everyone to live the values of Mother Mary.
The programme was beautifully organized and conducted by the students of class 5 A, B, C and D under the guidance of Nishmitha Pinto. The compères Raika, Pradhan, Gagan and Lasya of class 5 conducted the programme confidently. The event included introduction to the programme, prayer, welcome speech, significance of the day, enactment of the apparitions of Mother Mary with dress-up presentation, dance performance, chief guest’s message, manager’s address, vote of thanks and the school anthem.













































The programme was graced by the former principal Fr Michael Lobo (chief guest), principal Fr Johnson L Sequeira, Fr Arul, vice principal Anita Thomas, Fr Norman Mathias, Fr Royden Misquith, and Avita Pinto, the secretary Bejai Pastoral Parishad. The presence of former staff members among the guests added special value to the occasion.
The special highlight of the programme was the release of the 5th edition of the e-magazine, 'Focused Hands, Compassionate Hearts', showcasing the creativity and talents of students and teachers. The programme also featured prize distribution for the catechism and value education diocesan board exam toppers of classes VII and X and the honouring of the teachers’ competition winners.
The chief guest, Fr Michael Lobo, expressed his enduring affection for Lourdes Central School, acknowledged the teachers as the cornerstone of the school’s success and commended the students for their humility and excellence.
In his keynote address, the principal, Fr Johnson L Sequeira, emphasised the need to imbibe the values of Mother Mary, urging students to practice kindness and responsibility and teachers to guide them with compassion and fairness.
The celebration strengthened faith and values, brought the school community together and left a lasting impression on all present.
