Mangaluru, Feb 15: Mount Carmel Central School takes immense pride in sharing that it’s students have brought great pride and honour to the institution at the SPARK ATL & STEM FEST held at Sharada Vidyalaya on February 7.
In Mindscape Matters – Paper Presentation, on the intellectually stimulating topic ‘Animal Testing in Biomedical Research – A Necessity or Cruelty?’, Angel Rose Fernandes of grade XA and Ananjan Ajith Soman of grade XD demonstrated exceptional research, clarity of thought, and confident articulation to secure First Place, along with a cash prize of Rs 1500.




Adding to this moment of pride, in STEM SMART – Advanced Competency-Based Written Test, Anbu Narendra Bala of grade XC showcased remarkable analytical skills and subject mastery to clinch first place, winning a cash prize of Rs 1000.
Under the senior category for the theme ‘Mechanical Marvels’, our students presented two innovative and thought-provoking models at the fest.
‘Safety in the Ghats Section for Drivers’, designed and presented by Shanvil Gunakara Kotian and Tanishq Shetty both of grade 9E. Their model focused on enhancing driver safety in challenging Ghat terrains through practical mechanical solutions.
‘Park Smart’, an automated parking system – conceptualized by Albert Jais of grade 9D and Sharwin Patrao of grade 9C. Their project showcased a smart and efficient approach to modern parking challenges using automation principles.
The school is proud of their hard work and confident that this experience will inspire them to achieve even greater milestones in the future.
