Srinivas University's Institute of Port Shipping & Logistics Management holds beach cleaning drive

Mangaluru, Feb 16: The NSS Unit of Srinivas University's Institute of Port Shipping and Logistics Management organized a beach cleaning drive at Thanirbhavi Beach in collaboration with Plastic Fischers. The programme aimed to promote environmental awareness and social responsibility among students.

A total of 42 NSS volunteers actively participated in the drive. With great enthusiasm and team spirit, the students covered nearly a kilometer of shoreline and successfully collected more than 80 sacks of waste, including plastic and other non-biodegradable materials.

The initiative resulted in a visibly cleaner seashore and created awareness about the importance of reducing plastic pollution and protecting marine ecosystems.

The drive was a meaningful step towards environmental conservation and instilled a sense of civic responsibility among the students.
