Porbandar, Feb 17: In a significant maritime crackdown, the Indian Coast Guard in collaboration with the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) intercepted a drug-laden vessel near Porbandar along the international maritime boundary, recovering over 200 kg of narcotics and detaining two Pakistani nationals, officials said.
The operation was carried out following actionable intelligence on illicit drug smuggling in the region. The seized consignment, valued at several crores, is currently under detailed examination, with authorities warning that the final quantity and worth may increase as investigations continue.

The detained individuals are being interrogated to determine the consignment’s origin, intended destination, and possible links to larger international drug trafficking networks. Officials confirmed that the probe is ongoing, with more details expected in the coming days.
