New Delhi, Feb 18: The Election Commission of India on Wednesday announced that biennial elections to 37 seats of the Rajya Sabha, falling vacant in April, will be held on March 16.
According to the Commission, the seats are set to fall vacant on different dates in April across 10 states.

The states where the vacancies are arising include Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Assam, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Bihar.
Further details regarding the notification schedule and nomination process are expected to be released by the Commission.
