Mangaluru, Feb 18: St Agnes College hosted the book release of Wounds That Bloom, a collection of poems by Thanmayee K Bhatt of III BA on February 16. The event was a proud moment for the institution which highlights the creative accomplishments of its student.
The programme began by invoking the blessings of the Almighty through a prayer followed by a warm welcome by the emcee, Sampoorna V Prabhu.




The chief guest, Ganapathi Pai of Pai Sales Corporation, a distinguished entrepreneur and community leader was felicitated and delivered an inspiring address.
The book was then formally released by the dignitaries. Principal Sr Dr M Venissa AC appreciated the author’s accomplishment and encouraged students to nurture their creative talents.
A special highlight of the programme was the interview session with the author, where Thanmayee K Bhatt shared her journey as a young poet speaking about the inspiration behind her poems, the challenges she faced, and the emotions that shaped her writing. The session offered the audience a deeper understanding of her creative process.
Adding further insight, Geethanjali Prabhu from the department of English and Ananya K of III BA presented an analysis of select poems from the collection, appreciating the themes, imagery, and depth reflected in the work. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks expressing gratitude and marking the occasion as proud celebration of student literary talent.
The book release was not only a ceremonial event but also a celebration of creativity, perseverance and the blooming of young literary talent at St Agnes College.
