Jaipur, Feb 18: Amid a series of recent bomb threats targeting educational institutions, a similar email warning was received on Wednesday by Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology Management and Gramothan (SKIT) in the Jagatpura area, triggering panic and a swift evacuation of the campus, police said.
According to officials, the email was received by the college principal at around 6.15 am. It claimed that RDX-based explosive devices had been planted on the premises and warned of a blast at 11.45 am.

Following the alert, the college administration immediately vacated hostels and office buildings. Students and staff were moved out of the campus as a precautionary measure.
Police teams, along with the fire brigade and the bomb disposal squad, rushed to the institute and carried out an extensive search operation that continued till noon. However, no suspicious objects were found, officials confirmed.
Police said that prima facie, the threat appears to be a hoax, noting that similar emails have been sent to educational institutions in the past few weeks.
