Major fire at Ameerpet coaching centre sparks panic, student rescued

Hyderabad, Feb 20: A massive fire broke out at a coaching centre in the bustling Ameerpet area of Hyderabad on Friday, triggering panic among students and residents.

Visuals from the scene showed students stranded on the fourth-floor balcony as thick smoke billowed from the building and flames spread rapidly through parts of the structure. More than 40 students were reportedly inside the institute when the blaze erupted, quickly engulfing the premises in dense smoke.

As the heat intensified, anxious locals gathered on the road below, stretching out safety nets in an attempt to protect anyone who might try to jump to escape the fire. The incident caused chaos in the busy commercial hub, with large crowds forming as emergency response teams rushed to the spot.

Authorities have initiated firefighting and rescue operations, while the cause of the blaze is yet to be officially confirmed.
