Bengaluru, Feb 21: Alliance University, as part of the ongoing Alliance Literary Festival 2026 themed 'Her Story – Naari Shakti' and its flagship cultural and sports festival Alliance One 2026, hosted an inspiring Nari Shakti Riders Meet to promote cancer awareness. The rally witnessed the participation of over 90 women and men riders who rode in solidarity for the cause, reinforcing the message of resilience, strength, and collective responsibility.
The riders meet commenced from Cubbon Park and culminated at the Alliance University campus, creating strong public visibility for cancer awareness. The rally symbolized courage, unity, and the unstoppable spirit of women — echoing the festival’s central theme of celebrating women’s empowerment and societal leadership.

The rally was ceremoniously flagged off by acclaimed actress and social advocate Gul Panag along with the Alliance University leadership team. Leading by example, Gul Panag participated in the rally herself, riding alongside the participants and inspiring the gathering with her advocacy for fitness, independence, and social responsibility.
Following the rally, a special fireside conversation with Gul Panag was conducted by Mathew, where she shared insights on women’s empowerment, breaking stereotypes, pursuing passion fearlessly, and the importance of civic awareness. The engaging session resonated deeply with students and riders, highlighting the intersection of personal courage and social commitment.
The event also featured an interactive riders’ panel discussion, where participants and representatives from riding communities reflected on road safety, responsible riding culture, women’s increasing presence in motorcycling, and the role of such initiatives in spreading awareness about critical health issues like cancer. The discussion reinforced the idea that riding is not just a passion but also a platform for advocacy and social change.
The rally and subsequent discussions saw enthusiastic participation from various student-led initiatives, including She for Society and several other campus clubs, who joined hands to champion the cause.
The Nari Shakti Riders Meet emerged as a defining highlight of Alliance Literary Festival 2026 — seamlessly blending literature, leadership, activism, and action. By integrating meaningful social causes into its flagship events, Alliance University continues to demonstrate its commitment to holistic education — where academic excellence is complemented by social responsibility and transformative engagement.
The initiative concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to spreading cancer awareness and supporting preventive health measures, making the event not merely a ride, but a powerful movement for awareness, empowerment, and change.
