Puttur: Padmunja co-operative society staffer killed in bike–car collision at Nekkilady

Puttur, Mar 9: A 56-year-old man died following a road accident involving a motorcycle and a car near Nekkilady Bollaar along NH-34 on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Chidananda Gowda (56), a senior clerk at the Padmunja Co-operative Society and a resident of Kuraya in Bandaru village.

According to reports, the accident occurred when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car near Nekkilady Bollaar. Chidananda Gowda sustained serious injuries in the mishap and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.

However, he succumbed to his injuries despite medical efforts.

He is survived by his wife, a son and two daughters.

A case has been registered at the Puttur Traffic Police Station and further investigation is underway.
