Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapur celebrates International Women’s Day

Kundapur, Mar 11: International Women's day was celebrated by the Internal complaints committee of Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, Kundapur in collaboration with department of MBA on March 9.

The programme titled 'Lead Her Ship: Celebrating Women Leaders'.

The guests of honour for this programme were Vindhya N M, senior Geologist, department of mines and geology, Government of Karnataka and Purnima Bhojaraj, graded artiste AIR and Doordarshan, national level table tennis player, successful entrepreneur.

Speaking on the occasion, Vindhya said that women are subject to hundreds of diseases in their daily lives without even having time to take care of their health. The natural solution to all this is that women should first love themselves, if they maintain their health and achieve, it will help them to become physically and mentally stronger by releasing a chemical called dopamine.

Guest of honor Purnima Bhojaraj, who is in her seventies, spoke with such enthusiasm that she could put those in their 20s to shame and said that every woman should be self-reliant and achieve, and that her passion for art and sports has helped her a lot. On this occasion, both the women achievers were felicitated.

The principal of the college, Dr Ramakrishna Hegde, said that the contribution of women in keeping the family strong is immense and highly commendable. Dr SN Bhat, director academics, IMJ Educational Institutions, who presided over the function, said that women have proven themselves to be effective leaders wherever they get the opportunity. Recently, women are being given more priority in all institutions and industrial sectors. He said that the percentage of women is also good in IMJ educational institutions. He said that most of the women have been working continuously for the welfare of their families and have been contributing to the all-round development of the family. Dr Suchitra Poojary, head of MBA department, MIT Kundapur welcomed the dignitaries on the stage. Neil Gladwin presented the vote of thanks and presented the programme. The programme, which began with a prayer, was inaugurated by the dignitaries by lighting the lamp. The programme concluded with the national anthem.
