Mangaluru: St Aloysius University NCC wings organise blood donation camp

Mangaluru, Mar 11: In response to the acute blood shortage in the city, the NCC wings and the Youth Red Cross Association of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, in collaboration with the Regional Blood Transfusion Centre, District Wenlock Hospital, Mangaluru, organised a blood donation camp on March 11 from in the Sahodaya Auditorium.

The camp was inaugurated by Dr Sharath Kumar, head of the department, Wenlock Blood Bank. Dr Melwyn D'Cunha, SJ, pro-vice chancellor and Dr Charles V Furtado, director of the administrative block, presided over the programme. NCC and YRC officers and volunteers actively coordinated the camp, ensuring its smooth and successful conduct.

A total of 98 units of blood were collected from students, staff, and NCC cadets.
