Four Policemen Injured in Pakistan Suicide Bombing


Islamabad, Mar 5 (IANS): At least four policemen were injured in a suicide bombing in Pakistan's northwest tribal region Sunday night, a media report said.

According to state-run TV channel PTV, the attack took place around 9 p.m. when a suicide bomber riding a motorbike hit a police vehicle in the Main Commissionary Market of Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The bomber was wearing a white dress and had a beard, witnesses told local media.

Four policemen including the deputy superintendent of police of the district were injured in the attack, said Xinhua.

Firing was also heard following the blast.

No one has claimed responsibility for the attack. It was also not clear whether the bomber was dead or was injured.
