Mangaluru: Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Valachil organizes international pharmaceutical conference

Mangaluru, Mar 16: Srinivas College of Pharmacy in association with Indian Pharmaceutical Association, D K District Local Branch, Mangalore & Srinivas University, Mukka organizing International Pharmaceutical Conference on ‘Technological Advances in Practice and Sustainability’ on March 14 and 15.

On March 14 the conference was inaugurated by Dr med Christoper Rohrig, AINSP. Germany and he appreciated the efforts of the organizers in conducting such an international conference. They emphasized the significance of technological innovation, interdisciplinary collaborations and sustainability in advancing healthcare and pharmaceutical science and gave a scientific talk.

Dr A R Shabaraya, principal & director, Srinivas College of Pharmacy, Mangaluru in his presidential remarks he highlighted the importance of continuous research and innovation to address global healthcare challenges. He appreciated the organizing committee for their efforts in successfully arranging the conference.

Guests of honour include, Prof em (P R C) Dr med (Ind) Afu Roehrig, project/scientific director, RIDM for Quality-of-life European Medical Association, Germany highlighted the growing importance of technological advancements, artificial intelligence, sustainable healthcare practices in shaping the future of medicine and Pharmacy.

Dr Shrinivas Mayya D, registrar (E), Srinivas University, Mangaluru, Dr Suchetha Kumari N, professor & director, Research & Development, Srinivas University, Mangaluru, Dr EVS Subrahmanayam, president, IPA, Mangaluru, co-convener, Dr Krishnananda Kamath, professor & Dr Kumara Prasad, professor & vice president, IPA, Mangaluru, coordinator was present during the programme.

During the Conference Abstract book, a book of compilation of published research articles 2025 and Books on Indo German collaboration were released.

During the programme. Dr Viresh K Chandur, professor welcomed the participants and introduced the guests. Eminent speakers Dr. Muhammed Rashid, Post-Doctoral Research associate, department of Pharmacotherapy, University of Utah College of Pharmacy, USA & Bijoy Philip Varghese, senior biocompatability / toxicologist SME, Medtronic, Ireland. Dr Tippeswamy B S, professor, department of pharmacology, College of Pharmacy, Shaqra University, AL-Dawadmi Kingdom of Saudi Arabia gave a talk on AI-Powered Pharmacology, Redefining Therapeutic Discovery and Clinical Practice.

This conference continued with various technical sessions had academic interactions providing a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and professional development. During the conference oral and poster scientific sessions with more than 350 original scientific papers were presented in the poster scientific session. Apart from this, conference also conducted quiz and Patient Information Leaflet completion (PIL) on patient safety, reels, photography, debate and videography.

Dr Padmavathi P Prabhu, professor, Anvitha D K, associate professor & Nihara & Himasvi Pharm D students anchored the programme. Dr Krishnananda Kamath, professor, Srinivas College of Pharmacy proposed vote of thanks.
