Mumbai, Mar 5: Under the aegis of Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy, metro-based Karnataka Sangh, Sahitya Balaga Mumbai and Tulu–Kannadiga organizations of the metro, ‘Tulu Parba–2012’ was held at Samarasa auditorium of Karnataka Sangh, Matunga (West), on Saturday March 3.
Damodar C Kundar, president, Borivali local committee of Billawar Association, inaugurated the programme.
Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy president Umanath Kotian presided over the programme.
Baroda Tulu Sangh president Dayanand Bontra inaugurated the book exhibition.
Bunts Sangh president chartered accountant Shankar Shetty welcomed the gathering.
Devadiga Sangh president Hiriyadka Mohandas, Kulala Sangh Mumbai president P K Salian, and Karnataka Vishwakarma Association president Ganesh Kumar were present on the occasion.
Sahitya Balaga treasurer Dr Karunakar Shetty and office-bearers were also present.
Ganesh Yermal rendered the prayers. Chartered accountant Shankar Shetty welcomed the gathering. Sahitya Balaga committee president H B L Rao delivered the introductory address.
Goregaon Karnataka Sangh president G T Acharya introduced the veteran artistes. Sahitya Balaga committee vice-president Nityanand D Kotian compered the programme. Joint secretary Nataraj P S proposed the vote of thanks.
