Mangaluru, Mar 17: The graduation ceremony for the II PU students of Expert PU College, Valachil was held at the college’s Cultural Centre.
Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman of the Expert Group of Institutions congratulated the graduating students and emphasized that pre-university education is one of the most crucial phases of life. Prof Nayak highlighted that Expert PU College is renowned for its discipline and conducive learning environment. He encouraged the students to remain hardworking, determined, and to strive to become extraordinary individuals who bring pride to both the institution and the nation.

















Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, delivered the keynote address, reflecting on the students’ journey at Expert College. She urged them to carry the values they had learned at Expert, to remain grounded and humble, and to embark on the next chapter of their lives with confidence. She encouraged the students to make their journey ahead meaningful, responsible, and successful, while keeping ties with their alma mater.
Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal of Expert PU College, Valachil, addressed the gathering, calling the event a welfare day rather than a farewell. He inspired students to believe in themselves and to make the most of every opportunity. Subramanya Udupa, vice principal (Academics), welcomed the gathering.
The ceremony also recognized students for their exceptional achievements in academics and co-curricular activities, honoring their dedication and excellence. Notable awardees included Ujwal Shivanand Dodawad, winner of the Expert Star Award; Ankit Ashok Dodawad, winner of the Expert Scholastic Award; and Gautham G., winner of the Expert Non-Scholastic Award.
The students’ council ceremoniously handed over the college flag to principal Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, who then presented them with the flag of the Expert Alumni Association, marking their journey from students to proud members of the alumni community.
Student representatives shared their experiences and expressing heartfelt gratitude to the institution and faculty for their guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support throughout their academic journey.
Druthi V Hegde, vice principal (Admn); Anitha P Shetty, campus resident manager; programme director Prajna, lecturer in English; along with other faculty members were present on the occasion.
Mohammed Ameen, president of the Student Parliament, proposed the vote of thanks, while Swathi V Bhat, lecturer in English, compered the event.
