Karkala: Biker killed after speeding tipper lorry rams vehicle from behind

Karkala, Mar 20: In a tragic road accident, a motorcyclist lost his life on the spot after a speeding tipper lorry rammed into his bike from behind on Thursday in Karkala.

The deceased has been identified as Ganesh Nayak. According to reports, he was riding his motorcycle towards Hampankatte when the accused, allegedly driving a tipper lorry in a rash and negligent manner, collided with the rear of the bike.

The impact of the collision threw Ganesh Nayak onto the road along with his motorcycle. In a horrific turn of events, the rear wheel of the lorry ran over his head, resulting in severe injuries. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

A case has been registered at the Karkala Town police station, and further investigation is underway.
