Blast near former sarpanch’s house in J&K village, no casualties

Jammu, Mar 23: A mysterious explosion occurred in Samba district in the early hours of Monday, damaging property but causing no injuries, officials said.

The blast took place around 2 am near the residence of former sarpanch Jai Ram Sharma at Gawala Talab in the Ghagwal sector, located close to the International Border.

According to officials, the explosion uprooted the main gate of the house and damaged a portion of the boundary wall. However, no casualties were reported in the incident.

A team of forensic experts has visited the site and collected samples to determine the cause of the blast. Police have registered an FIR, and senior officers are monitoring the situation as further investigation continues.
