Kadaba, Mar 24: Three persons were seriously injured after a car met with an accident on the Dharmasthala–Subrahmanya state highway near Mardala Branthikatte, close to Aithoor Panchayat office in Kadaba on Monday evening.
The mishap occurred when an Eeco car travelling from Dharmasthala towards Kukke Subrahmanya went out of control and overturned into a roadside drain.
Out of the nine people travelling in the vehicle, three sustained serious injuries. The injured have been identified as Manjunath (40), Pramod (17), and Tulasi (60).

Others, including Priya (40), Vithal (39), driver Premanna (38), Dhanalakshmi (35), Sanjana (25), and Samartha (38), suffered minor injuries.
All the injured are said to be residents of Sagar in Shivamogga district.
The injured were shifted to the government hospital in Puttur and a hospital in Mangaluru, where they are undergoing treatment.
Locals rushed to the spot immediately after the accident and assisted in rescue operations, helping shift the injured to hospitals. Kadaba Police have registered a case.
