Udupi, Mar 24: Renowned international photojournalist and Canon EOS Maestro Astro Mohan has once again brought international recognition to Udupi and India by winning three prestigious PSA gold medals, GNG gold medal, honorable mention, and the coveted Judges’ Choice Award at the ROSE International Photography Circuit, one of the internationally recognized photography competitions.
The ROSE Circuit was conducted under the prestigious patronage of the Photographic Society of America (PSA), India International Group (IIG), and GNG Club, and attracted participation from photographers from many countries around the world.



Astro Mohan’s powerful photojournalism image titled ‘Battle Against the Flames’ received the PSA gold medal and the Special Judges’ Choice Award in the photojournalism section, recognising the image as one of the most impactful and outstanding entries in the competition.
The same photograph, ‘Battle Against the Flames’ also won the PSA gold medal in the General Section, a rare achievement demonstrating the photograph’s universal visual impact and storytelling strength across categories.
Further adding to this international honour, his culturally rich photo travel image ‘At the Feet of Faith’ won the PSA gold medal, GNG gold medal, and honourable mention E-certificate in the Photo travel – World in Focus Section, a category that celebrates culture, tradition, and human life across the world.
With these latest achievements, Astro Mohan has once again demonstrated his excellence in photojournalism and photo travel photography, the most competitive sections in international photography salons.
Astro Mohan, a senior photojournalist and an internationally recognized photographer, has won hundreds of national and international awards and continues to document culture, tradition, human life, and real-life stories through powerful visual storytelling.
These international awards have brought pride to Udupi, Karnataka, and India, and once again proved that Indian cultural and human-interest photography continues to receive global recognition and appreciation.
