Mangaluru, Mar 24: NSS volunteers from the Srinivas University, Institute of Port Shipping and Logistics Management marked International Women’s Day by visiting Pabbas Ice Cream Parlour at Fiza by Nexus Mall in Pandeshwar, celebrating and appreciating the contribution of women employees.
The visit highlighted the inspiring fact that over 90 per cent of the staff at the parlour are women. The programme began with a brief introduction on the significance of the day, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony.
As a gesture of appreciation, the volunteers distributed handmade badges, chocolates, and smiley badges to all the staff members. The initiative was well received, with employees expressing happiness over the thoughtful effort.
The event concluded on a positive note, creating a joyful and encouraging atmosphere for everyone present.
