Mangaluru: Absconding accused arrested in house assault, mobile robbery case

Mangaluru, Mar 26: Police have arrested a key accused who had been absconding in connection with a house trespass and robbery case reported in Ullal.

The arrested has been identified as Nifan Ahmed Pasha (33), a resident of Khiliya Nagar.

According to police, the accused, along with his associates Nizpath Ali and Ameer Suhail, had allegedly barged into the house of Mohammed Tasweer at Kotekar on the night of February 5, assaulted him, and robbed his mobile phone. A case in this regard was registered at the Ullal police station.

Further investigation revealed that Nifan Ahmed Pasha was also involved in another case registered in December 2024, where he, along with his associates, had allegedly assaulted staff at the Talapady toll gate after stopping his car.

The accused has been produced before the court, and further investigation is underway.
