Mangaluru, Mar 26: Police have arrested an accused who had been evading court proceedings in a criminal case and produced him before the court in Ullal.
The arrested has been identified as Abdul Rahiman Arfan alias Jalli Arfan (29), a resident of Bandikottai.
According to police, the accused was involved in multiple criminal cases, with as many as eight cases registered against him at the Ullal police station. He had failed to appear before the court and had been absconding.
Following his continued absence, the court had issued a non-bailable warrant against him. Acting on this, Ullal police traced and arrested the accused and later produced him before the court.
