Mangaluru, Mar 28: In view of increased passenger demand, Southern Railway has announced the temporary augmentation of additional coaches on the Rameswaram–Mangaluru Central Weekly Express.
According to a release from the Palakkad division, two 3-tier AC coaches will be added to the train to accommodate the extra rush of passengers.

The augmentation will be effective from April 4 to May 2 for services departing from Mangaluru Central, and from April 5 to May 3 for trains originating from Rameswaram.
Following the addition, the train will operate with a revised composition that includes two 2-tier AC coaches, eight 3-tier AC coaches, six sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches, along with a second class luggage-cum-brake van and a generator car.
The move is aimed at easing travel during the peak season and ensuring greater comfort for passengers on the route.
