Mangaluru: Sheryl Ayona Aiman awarded PhD by Srinivas University

Mangaluru, Mar 29: Sheryl Ayona Aiman, a professor at Sridevi Institute of Technology, Mangaluru, was conferred the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree during the eighth annual convocation ceremony of Srinivas University held on Saturday, March 28.

She was awarded the degree in the Department of Electronics and Communication for her thesis titled ‘Design and Implementation of Efficient Nanomaterials for Energy Storage, Sensors, and Photocatalysis Applications’.

Sheryl completed her engineering education at St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, and is currently serving as a professor at Sridevi Institute of Technology.

A native of Haleangadi, she is the daughter of the late Stephen Sukumar Aiman and Irene Pushpa Aiman. Beyond her academic professional life, she is actively involved in community service, serving as a council member of the Madikere Gudde CSI Church Parish Administrative Committee and as a director of the Priyadarshini Co-operative Society.
