Kundapur: Scooty rider killed in truck collision near Kota; daughter injured

Kundapur, Mar 30: A 54-year-old woman died on the spot after a truck rammed into a scooty near Mabukala on Saturday night, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Nirmala (54), a resident of Uppinakote Salikeri.

According to reports, Nirmala was travelling with her daughter Nireeksha towards the Anjaneya temple in Saligrama when the accident occurred near Mabukala bridge. A Telangana-registered truck, which was moving from Brahmavar towards Kota, allegedly hit their scooty.

Due to the impact of the collision, Nirmala died on the spot, while her daughter sustained injuries and has been admitted to a hospital for treatment.

A case has been registered at Kota Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
