Mangaluru, Apr 2: The Scout and Guides Summer Camp 2026 commenced on April 1 with great enthusiasm and spirit. The programme was inaugurated by the principal with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, marking the formal beginning of the camp.

In the inaugural address, the principal highlighted the significance of the scout and guide movement in shaping students’ character by fostering discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and leadership qualities.

The first day focused on introducing students to the fundamentals of scouting. Participants were guided through basic demonstrations, including the scout salute, handshake, proper uniform, badge identification, and flag etiquette. These sessions provided a strong foundation for the activities planned in the coming days.

Adding to the excitement, a series of fun-filled team-building games were organized, encouraging cooperation, communication, and camaraderie among students.
