Bannu, Apr 3: At least five persons, including three women and a child, were killed in a suicide car bomb attack targeting a police station in northwest Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province late Thursday, police said.
The incident occurred in Domel tehsil of Bannu district when a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into the police station, triggering a powerful blast that was heard from a considerable distance. The explosion caused panic among residents, with reports of gunfire immediately following the attack, further escalating tension in the area.

Several nearby houses were damaged due to the intensity of the blast, while at least four police personnel sustained injuries.
Rescue teams rushed to the spot and recovered five bodies from the debris, officials confirmed, adding that emergency response operations are still underway.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the police station was the primary target of the attack. Authorities are continuing to assess the situation and gather further details.
