Yatish Narayan Bangera appointed chairman of Youth & School Beach Games Development

Mumbai, Apr 7: The Beach Games Federation of India (BGFI) has announced the appointment of senior judo administrator and director of Bombay Judo Club, Yatish Narayan Bangera, as chairman – Youth and School Beach Games Development.

While formally welcoming Udupi Kapu based Shri Bangera on behalf of the Federation, BGFI has specially commended his outstanding contribution spanning more than four decades as a player, coach, administrator, and international referee in Judo and allied disciplines.

Under his leadership at the Mumbai Judo Club, he has produced numerous national and international champions and maintains a deep and longstanding association with the school and collegiate sports system. He has also been assigned the responsibility of seamlessly integrating all these initiatives into a unified National Competition Pyramid.

BGFI CEO L Jayantakumar Singh said, “Using Yatish Bangera’s vast experience and visionary approach, we will build a strong and sustainable beach sports ecosystem at the youth, school, and university levels. Under his leadership, India will develop a robust talent pipeline from grassroots to international level.”
