Goa court issues notices over plea challenging Panaji civic poll

Panaji, Apr 10: The North Goa Principal District and Sessions Court has issued notices to all respondent councillors of the Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP), along with the State Election Commission and the Returning Officer, in connection with a petition challenging the validity of the CCP election.

The petition has sought to declare the municipal election null and void, raising legal questions over the conduct of the electoral process.

The court has scheduled the next hearing for Friday, when all parties concerned are expected to submit their responses.
