Elderly man killed in Bhandup building collapse

Mumbai, Apr 11: A 75-year-old man lost his life after a portion of a residential structure collapsed in Bhandup (West) on Saturday morning, triggering panic among local residents.

The incident occurred in the Tulshipada area of Patkar Compound, where part of the first-floor slab of a ground-plus-one (G+1) building suddenly gave way.

The victim, identified as Susai Devdas Kaunder, sustained severe injuries in the collapse. He was rushed to Navkar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Authorities are yet to determine the exact cause of the structural failure.
