Mangaluru: Dharma Jyothi Social Centre organizes one day summer camp

Mangaluru, Apr 14: A one-day summer camp was organized by Dharma Jyothi Social Centre at Vidya Jyothi English Medium School premises on April 13.

The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by the headmistress of Vidya Jyothi School headmistress, Sr Ida SRA, along with the Dharma Jyothi Social Centres director, Sr Veera Monis SRA.

As a resource person, government school retired teacher Sophia Pinto spoke about the advantages and disadvantages of mobile phone. Daisy D’Souza, who is serving at Maitri Charitable Trust, spoke about respecting elders and the importance of physical exercise.

Renita Lewis spoke about personal hygiene and balanced diet. Various activities were conducted for the children, including games, competitions, and action songs which entertained everyone.

A total of 223 children benefited from this summer camp.
