TCS Nashik Case accused Nida Khan in Mumbai, seeks anticipatory bail amid probe

Mumbai, Apr 17: Nida Khan, an accused in the Nashik TCS forced religious conversion and harassment case, is currently in Mumbai and is expecting her first child, according to her family.

Khan, who is reportedly on the run, has approached a Nashik court seeking anticipatory bail, with her medical condition likely to be cited as a key ground in the plea. Authorities are expected to verify the claims through official medical channels as the Special Investigation Team (SIT) continues efforts to trace and apprehend her.

Khan, 25, joined the BPO unit of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Nashik in 2021.

The case involves multiple complaints linked to alleged sexual harassment and forced religious conversion at the TCS Nashik office. Police have registered nine complaints and arrested seven employees, including six men and a woman HR head.

According to police, the complaints were filed by eight women employees who alleged mental and sexual harassment by senior colleagues, along with inaction by the HR department. The incidents are said to have taken place between February 2022 and March 2026.

Investigators further stated that one accused misused a false promise of marriage to establish a relationship with an employee, while others allegedly made inappropriate remarks and physical advances. Police also alleged that a male employee was forced to offer Namaz and faced religious insults.

TCS has said it maintains a “zero-tolerance” policy on harassment and is fully cooperating with the investigation. The company has suspended the accused employees pending inquiry and stated that further action will depend on the outcome of the probe.

Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran termed the allegations “gravely concerning and anguishing,” adding that a detailed internal investigation is underway under TCS Chief Operating Officer Arathi Subramanian to determine the facts and fix responsibility.
