Mangaluru: ICYM Bajpe hosts Easter Cup 2026 cricket tournament

Mangaluru, Apr 18: The Easter Cup 2026 Mangalore diocese level cricket and leg cricket tournament , organized by the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM), Bajpe unit, was successfully conducted on April 11 and 12 at St Joseph’s PU College Ground, Bajpe.

The event featured a Mangalore diocese-level overarm cricket (Men) and underarm leg cricket (Women) tournament, bringing together youth from various parishes.

Inaugural programme

The inaugural ceremony was graced by the following dignitaries:

Fr Andrew D’Souza – ICYM Bajpe director
Juliet Moras – Parish Pastoral secretary
Ronald Rodrigues – Fathima 1st Ward Gurkar
Suzannha Ferrao – ICYM Mangalore diocese PRO & Pezar Deanery representative
Frenita D’Souza – ICYM Bajpe animator
Sonali Noronha – ICYM Pezar Deanery president
Reenal Rodrigues – ICYM president
Ashel Rosario – ICYM secretary

The programme commenced with the welcome address by Reenal Rodrigues, followed by the presidential address by Fr Andrew D’Souza. The inaugural ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Ashel Rosario. Following the inaugural programme, the matches began.

The valedictory ceremony was held in the evening with the presence of:
