Mangaluru, Apr 18: Zenova Fusion Camp 2K26 was inaugurated with great enthusiasm on April 1 at St Agnes School CBSE, Bendore, marking the beginning of a vibrant and enriching two-week summer programme. Centered around the theme ‘Unleash the Talent Within,’ the camp was envisioned as a platform to nurture creativity, confidence, and holistic development among students. The concept of ‘Zenova,’ a harmonious blend of ‘Zen’ (mindfulness and self-discovery) and ‘Nova’ (new beginnings and brilliance), aptly reflected the spirit and purpose of the camp.

The thoughtfully curated programme offered a wide array of activities, ranging from expressive arts like Opera, Character Portrayal, and Drama to creative pursuits such as poster making, logo designing, clay modelling, and candle making, along with science-based and craft-oriented sessions. The campus buzzed with energy as students were warmly welcomed through creatively decorated entrances, setting a joyful tone for the days ahead. The inaugural ceremony began with a melodious hymn, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolising knowledge and positivity.

The welcome address by teacher Linnet set an encouraging tone, while the chief guest, Preetesh — an accomplished theatre artist and youth festival awardee — graced the occasion. Vice principal Sr Meena Fernandes AC presented him with a potted plant as a symbol of growth and sustainability. As part of the inaugural proceedings, the camp was formally declared open through an innovative unfolding box presentation, symbolising the blossoming of talents and new possibilities.

Addressing the gathering, Preetesh highlighted the importance of practice, creativity, and self-belief, encouraging students to develop their skills with confidence. He noted that platforms like Zenova nurture both talent and discipline. This was followed by camp head and coordinator Sr Lavi Shanti AC, who motivated students to participate wholeheartedly and enlivened the gathering with a lively action song.

Over the course of two weeks, the camp unfolded as a dynamic journey of learning, creativity, and joyful exploration, providing students with opportunities to discover and develop their talents in a supportive and vibrant environment.

The camp was further enriched by the presence of skilled resource persons who guided the students in various domains: Charith (Drama), Prashanth (Dance), Simeon (Singing), Naveen (Mask Making), Dhamesh (Clay Modelling), Thejas (Mimicry), Maria D’Costa (Creative Writing), and Ashwin (Science Model Making). Their expertise and enthusiasm added immense value to the learning experience. The camp culminated on April 16 with a lively and heartwarming closing ceremony held in the school auditorium. An engaging action song and a graceful dance performance further added colour and vibrancy to the programme.
