ED conducts raids at multiple Kolkata Locations, DCP’s residence searched

Kolkata, Apr 19: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Sunday carried out raids at multiple locations in Kolkata in connection with an ongoing investigation under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).

Among the premises searched were the residence of Kolkata Police Deputy Commissioner Shantanu Sinha Biswas in Ballygunge and the house of Sun Enterprise Managing Director Joy Kamdar in Behala.

Sources said the central agency conducted searches at three locations, of which two were linked to Biswas and one to Kamdar. Officials indicated that the action is part of a probe related to individuals identified as Sona Pappu and Joy Kamdar.
