Mangaluru: SJEC men's football team emerges as champions

Mangaluru, Apr 19: St. Joseph Engineering College (SJEC) men’s football team has emerged as winners in the VTU Mangaluru Division Football Tournament held at AITM, Bhatkal on April 16 & 17 under the guidance of physical education director (PED), Vaneesha V Rodrigues and assistant PED Sudheer M.

The winning squads featured talented players from UG programmes:

Gokul Satheesan (6th Sem CSE), Sweedan Cardoza (6th Sem AIML), Abaan Abdul Jabbar (2nd Sem ECE), Preston Ansel Rodrigues (2nd Sem AIML), Nathan Darvin Alfanso (6th Sem CSE), M A Mohammed (4th Sem CSBS), Ekalavya Nihar Atholige (2nd Sem CSE), Abhith Ajay (6th Sem MECH), Karthik Prabhakar M V (6th Sem CSBS), Avaneesh H Kamath (6th Sem EEE), Ramith Chandran P (2nd Sem ECE), Nakul Raj E (6th Sem ECE), ?Aaron Noronha (6th Sem CSBS), Sasang K (8th Sem ECE), Shazil (8th Sem EEE) and Ruben Roy (6th Sem EEE)

The management of SJEC has congratulated the team and the physical education directors for bringing laurels to the institution with this outstanding achievement.
