New Delhi, Apr 20: Hockey India on Monday named a 36-member core probable squad for the upcoming Senior Men’s National Coaching Camp, scheduled to be held at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Centre in Bengaluru from April 20 to May 9.
The camp will focus on improving tactical coordination, physical conditioning, and match-simulation drills as the team gears up for a packed international calendar. Key upcoming assignments include the European leg of the FIH Pro League, the Hockey World Cup cycle, and the Asian Games. The emphasis will be on building combinations, enhancing team rhythm, and strengthening squad depth across all departments.

The goalkeeping unit features experienced names such as Krishan Bahadur Pathak, Suraj Karkera, and Pawan, along with younger prospects Mohith Honnenahalli Shashikumar and Princedeep Singh.
The defensive lineup is led by captain Harmanpreet Singh and Amit Rohidas, supported by Jarmanpreet Singh, Jugraj Singh, Sanjay, and Sumit. Emerging defenders like Poovanna Chandura Boby, Yashdeep Siwach, Nilam Sanjeep Xess, and Amandeep Lakra have also been included to widen the talent pool.
In midfield, the squad blends experience and youth with stalwarts such as Manpreet Singh, Hardik Singh, and Vivek Sagar Prasad. They are joined by Rajinder Singh, Manmeet Singh, Moirangthem Rabichandra Singh, Vishnu Kant Singh, Raj Kumar Pal, Nilakanta Sharma, and Rosan Kujur.
The forward line features a strong mix of established attackers and promising youngsters, including Mandeep Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Abhishek, and Sukhjeet Singh. They are supported by Shilanand Lakra, Araijeet Singh Hundal, Angad Bir Singh, Uttam Singh, Selvam Karthi, Aditya Arjun Lalage, and Maninder Singh.
The camp is expected to play a key role in finalising combinations and building momentum ahead of India’s crucial international commitments in the coming season.
