Udupi: Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy president greets Bishop-elect Msgr Dr Leslie D’Souza

Udupi, Apr 20: Following the recent announcement of Dr Leslie D’Souza as the new Bishop of the Diocese of Udupi, Joachim Stany Alvares, president of the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy, paid a formal visit to the Bishop-elect to extend his heartiest congratulations.
 
The president, accompanied by Academy member Naveen Lobo, met Msgr Dr Leslie D'Souza and greeted him with a floral bouquet on behalf of the Academy and the Konkani-speaking community.
 
During the meeting, Joachim Stany Alvares expressed his joy over the appointment, noting that the new Bishop-elect has always been a supporter of cultural and literary initiatives. He wished Msgr D’Souza a fruitful tenure in leading the Udupi Diocese.
