Retired bank employee Yashoda Ganapa Puthran passes away at 80

Mumbai, Apr 22: Yashoda Ganapa Puthran, a resident of Koppala Kaveri in Baikampady, Mangaluru taluk, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, at the residence of her daughter in Kamal Park Apartments, LBS Marg, Bhandup West. She was 80.

A retired employee of Bank of Baroda, Yashoda Puthran is survived by three sons — Dharmesh, Tejpal, and Anil Puthran — and two daughters, Rohini Puthran and Dr G P Kusuma. Dr G P Kusuma serves as the president of the Kannadiga Journalists’ Association, Maharashtra, and is a member of the Maharashtra unit of the Karnataka Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ).

The family confirmed that the last rites were performed in Bhandup on Tuesday evening.

The office-bearers and members of the Kannadiga Journalists’ Association, Maharashtra, and the KUWJ Maharashtra state unit have expressed their deep condolences over the demise of Yashoda Puthran.
