The best way to control these express bus menace is to stop new permits and increase the gap between the buses atleast upto 15 to 20 minutes instead of present 2 to 3 minutes.

Mathew, Udupi No Rightly said 🙏👌 In some cases we are that express busses or city busses most of the time run their vehicles as if no one can control them. Awareness should be priority. Every should be careful.

Young life is lost which is irreplaceable, may God give strength to the parents to endure the loss, here we do not know who is at fault , however people entering from service road to main road have to be very cautious bcoz the loss is always on the small vehicle people

Everyone is blaming the bus driver without knowing the entire details. Do we know if the scooter rider noticed the bus before entering the highway?

Dear Mathew, In such situations, the bus driver is inevitably held responsible, as this incident appears to have resulted from his negligence. Eyewitnesses have also indicated that the fault lies with the driver. It is especially concerning to note that the same bus, reportedly driven in an over-speeding manner, was involved in an accident in Katpady last year, where my friend’s brother tragically lost his life due to reckless driving. Incidents like these highlight a serious and recurring issue. There is an urgent need for the RTO and the Udupi DC to implement and strictly enforce stronger regulations to curb such reckless driving and ensure passenger and public safety.

it is too early for a baby to go, A precious life valued beyond a price is gone within seconds ,due to uncivilized civic sense, Low quality Indian law compared to GCC and Other Western Countries , no fear in drivers though they can avoid accidents with break, they don't have mind to stop a bus/no humanity, Our law Only teaches piling up money and wealth to Road Users not Humanity and Road Etiquette , No value for Precious human life. Huge loss and tragedy and pain for Parents.

Bus drivers think as if the road is their baap ka maal and can drive how they want just because they think that they are the tax payers, not the citizens. The driver should be hit so hard he should be paralysed. The problem is that in our country corruption is at its highest. If such an accident took place in the Gulf, the family would have demanded blood money of more than a million riyals/dirhams. Unfortunately such a rule doesn't exist in this country.

Its not a good idea for NRI's to leave the comfort and discipline of gulf or western countries and move back to India. Too huge a difference and no civic sense at all among the ppl. Now see, what loss for the family. RIP little one.

RIP poor soul. May god give strength to the parents to bear the loss of such a young child. Every week we come across accidents involving City / Expresses buses in Mangalore and Udupi yet there is no strict action being taken from the authorities. There should be speed governors installed in the private buses and reckless driving should be heavily penalised. Orelse, there will be no justice for the lives that have been lost over the years.
