Man found dead at home in Karkala village

Karkala, Apr 24: A 49-year-old man was found dead at his residence in Bolakodi area of Bola village in Karkala on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Ashok D’ Souza, who was unmarried and reportedly suffering from chest pain for the past two to three days.

According to sources, family members became concerned when he did not respond to phone calls on Thursday morning. Upon visiting his house, they found him lying dead on the bed.

Preliminary reports suggest that the death may have been caused by a heart attack. A case of unnatural death has been registered at the Karkala Rural police station, and further investigation is underway.
