Bantwal: Teerthesh Shetty selected for World Athletics Relays in Botswana

Bantwal, Apr 24: Teerthesh Shetty, a resident of Koyila village in Bantwal taluk, has been selected to represent India in the men's 4x400m relay at the World Athletics Relays championship. The prestigious event is scheduled to be held on May 2 in Botswana, South Africa.

An alumnus of Alva's College, Moodbidri, Teerthesh is currently employed with the Indian Railways. He is presently undergoing rigorous training at the national senior athletics camp.

Teerthesh is the son of Prashanth Shetty and Savitha, residents of Koyila. His selection to the national squad for a world-level championship has brought pride to the coastal region and his home taluk.
