Udupi: Manjunath Motors’ K Rajashekhar Shetty passes away

Udupi, Apr 26: K Rajashekhar Shetty, a respected businessman associated with Manjunath Motors, Udupi, passed away on Saturday, April 25 at 9:15 pm following a brief illness. He was the son of Late Gopal Shetty and Late Meenakshi alias Ramabai, and a resident of Budnar, Udupi.

He is survived by his wife Amitha R Shetty, son Yuvaraj R Shetty, daughter-in-law Akshita Shetty, daughter Rajmeeta Mithun Shetty, son-in-law Mithun Shetty, and grandchildren Rudraksh and Jakshraj.

K Rajashekhar Shetty was widely known for his simple, humble, and soft-spoken nature. He was regarded as a disciplined and noble individual who extended help to many in society and earned the respect of the community.

He began his journey at a young age and, from 1970, actively contributed to the growth and development of Sri Manjunatha Motor Service, one of the leading bus services in the undivided Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. He worked alongside his uncle, late K Narayan Shetty, playing a significant role in strengthening the transport service in the region.

His demise has left behind a void among family members, friends, and the wider community who remember him for his service and humane values.

His mortal remains will be brought to his residence “Meenakshi”, Indrali Railway Station Road, Udupi on April 26 at 11 am. Last rites and funeral rituals will be held between 11 am to 12:30 pm.
